01. Snapchat Lenses
Snapchat lenses introduced me to Augmented Reality (AR), showcasing how 3D objects interact in real time with users and their surroundings based on movements and actions. Techniques like triggers, ground tracking, and hand tracking enable interactions between users and lenses.
MY AUGMENTED REALITY WORKS
Tools used :
Glasses + Triggers
The 3D model of the glasses is created in Blender and textured with materials. Then it is exported as .fbx format to Lens Studio for real-time user interaction. They're positioned on the face mesh for open/close mouth triggers to detect facial and mouth movements.
Plantbox + Ground tracking
The 3D model of the plant box, created in Blender and textured, is exported as .fbx format to Lens Studio for real-time interaction with the surroundings. It tracks and is placed on a ground or plane surface by tapping using the world controller tool.
02 AR Food Visualisation
Revolutionizing the way users order and experience food delivery. This initiative integrates Augmented Reality with top delivery apps, offering users an immersive 3D preview of their meals in real time. This approach addresses quantity and quality concerns, making food ordering more intuitive and satisfying for users at the comfort of their home
Tools used :
Project Overview
Augmented Reality is employed to provide enhanced dining experience for the people with its various applications. In recent years, delivery food sector has seen massive growth as people began to prefer to have their favorite food at the comfort of home.
“60% of American consumers order takeout or delivery at least once a week. 31% of American consumers use third-party food delivery services at least twice a week”

Hence, to enhance the user experience we propose integrating AR food visualization as an add-on feature within popular third-party food delivery apps such as DoorDash and Uber Eats.
This feature enables users to preview their desired dishes in real-time in 3D space, providing holistic information into the meal's appearance, portion size, and type.
It would empower user to effortlessly discover new restaurants and dishes from the comfort of their homes, eliminating online food order uncertainties.
Problem Statement
"How to enhance the experience of the users who orders food online to know more about their food before ordering without human aid?"
The question of the hour...

Hi-Fidelity Prototype Screens
A delivery app is chosen as an example to create a mock up and AR Food add on-feature is added. The 3D model was imported to Unity to develop AR by adding scripts and animation effects. Then the UI of the feature was designed based on the application's UI design.
Future Scope
01
Enhance AR food display with on-screen ingredient and nutritional information for added user value.
02
Enable real-time easy customization of food orders in 3D space for user convenience
03
Include an animated waiter guiding users through the menu for an engaging and fun user interaction.
Conclusion
Thus, an augmented reality add-on feature is used to promote sales by making it easier for DoorDash users to order food online by giving them a real-time preview of the food they want to order using realistic 3D representations and animations to provide an interactive, informative, immersive, and engaging experience for the target users.
03. AR User Manual
Dedicated to making learning more effective and engaging, enabling individuals and organizations to acquire skills and information with greater efficiency. AR user manuals allows users to scan and explore products in 3D space in real-time, providing instant access to comprehensive functionality and assembling details.
Tools used :
Project Overview
AR has the capability of revolutionizing training by allowing individuals and organizations to learn skills and information in a more effective and efficient manner. AR user manuals provide a more engaging and effective experience for people to learn how to operate a device leading to enhanced performance, efficiency, and reduced errors.
"AR technology has the potential to save training time by up to 50% while also reducing mistakes by up to 80%, resulting in increased production and efficiency" (Forbes)
"61% of customers favour companies that provide augmented reality experiences, showing an increase in demand for interactive and engaging content" (Google)

PAINPOINTS OF TRADITIONAL USER MANUAL
Traditional user manuals can make it difficult for users to completely comprehend and operate a product, resulting in frustration, mistakes, and dissatisfaction. Conventional user manuals may be lengthy, complex, and text-heavy, making them tedious and difficult to read and find intended information instantly.
FUNCTIONALITY OF THE ADD-ON FEATURE
This added feature for product manuals lets users scan and view 3D models of products with labelled parts in real-time. Clicking on a part's name provides instant, visually appealing details on its functionality, enhancing user experience with respect to convenience and easy accessibility.
Problem Statement
The question of the hour...
How to make it easier for the users to fetch information instantly from a user manual to understand the operation of any kind of product without causing cognitive overload?
Design Intent
To provide an engaging learning experience to users as they explore the new product using animated real-time realistic models.
Intent 01
Solution 01
Built 3D models with realistic textures and animations are added to give users a detailed view of each parts of the product and also an exciting experience
To offer instant access to information from the user manual to reduce cognitive overload and improve memory recall.
Intent 02
Solution 02
Created an interactive UI for users to choose any part of the new product and access information about it directly from the AR 3D product view.
3D Model and Animation
Realistic 3D model with appropriate texture and lightings of the Brita water filter model including all its important components are made in blender.
Then animation is added to disassemble each components of the product and excite the users with the visual representation of the product they want to learn about in AR.
Hi-Fidelity Prototype Screens
A retail store app is chosen as an example to create a mock up and incorporated an AR User Manual add-on feature. Using Unity, we imported a 3D model, added scripts, and animations. Employed Image tracking in Unity detects the user manual for real-time 3D model display upon scanning.
Why this add-on feature much needed?
AR user manuals allow people to interact with 3D models in real time and see how to utilize a product. With a more hands-on approach, users may manipulate the product, understand how it works, and learn how to use it. This can result in a more interesting and effective learning environment.
AR user manuals have been found in studies to boost knowledge retention and recall. This is because AR allows users to perceive the product and its features in a more lifelike and captivating manner, which can improve memory recall. AR user manuals may be viewed through mobile devices or tablets, making them convenient for users on the go.
Therefore, AR user manuals are becoming increasingly vital in today's fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
